Hi Amber,

Most of our sylabus is from the traditional Moo Duk Kwan, but we have recently been learning a lot of the Soo Bahk Do requirements too. We are part of the EMTF (European Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation) and recently attended the Rotterdam World Championships in March, which was also attended by the Mi Guk Kwan including Grandmaster Ferraro and sons.

The term 'Pool' is actually a town in Cornwall where we train, and is not a Korean term (as far as i'm aware!)

What style of Tang Soo Do do you take? I take the Mi Guk Kwan branch. Don't worry about Bassai, it isn't all that bad. :)
I recieved my Dan belt in May of '06, but I don't recognize the term "pool;" what is it, exactly?

'im thinking of leaving the team'

Dont be soft. How do you expect to get better at something you enjoy if you give it up ? I had exactly the same thoughts a while back; "Everybody is better than me, i hardly score any points, my technique sucks" etc . . . Quite simply most of the people you fight (with the exception of griff) have been doing it for a lot longer than you. Experience is everything when it comes to sparring. If you are having specific problems with your technique then break it down and analize what is going wrong. Speak to master james for specific feedback (or me). Try different things every time you fight, if it doesnt work and you lose a point who cares ?

Besides you are not allowed to quit

Any time you want to put the pads on and go down 'the bottom' for a scrap let me know, i'll happily punch/kick you in face all day. You never know, one day you might get me back : /

This is my favourite WASP song by far - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzb8tus4hn8

I still love it, the only song I know with a chainsaw solo in it! (although sadly not in that TOTP video I posted)
